Study Summary

The purpose of this project is to determine the impact of hydration education on participant knowledge and water intake for residents in the independent living unit at Cornwall Manor. Therefore, we aim to look at the impact of education as a tool to improve overall hydration among the geriatric population.

Primary Outcome

A pre-and post-test, is an eleven question knowledge test that includes three true or false, seven multiple choice and one select all that apply questions. The various types of questions are used in order to challenge the short term memory, long term memory of the participants. The pre- and post-test knowledge test was adapted from the version of the Keller et al., 2024 questionnaire. The questions will be scored a 1 if the answer was correct, 0 if the answer was incorrect and for the select all
