Study Summary

This is a dose-escalating study in patients with Type 2 diabetes on metformin. Participants will receive an investigational product or placebo for 28 days.

Primary Outcome

Treatment-related adverse event (AE) was any untoward medical occurrence attributed to study treatment in a participant who received study treatment. A serious AE (SAE) was an AE resulting in any of the following outcomes or deemed significant for any other reason: death; life-threatening; initial or prolonged inpatient hospitalization; persistent or significant disability/incapacity; congenital anomaly/birth defect.
