Data & editorial changelog
A dated record of material changes to PlainTrial data presentation, methodology, and editorial framing. Entries are verified against git commits only; we do not invent backfilled history.
How this record works
We add an entry when a material correction, source-handling change, or methodology revision reaches the public site. We do not backfill an entry without a corroborating commit. To report a possible error, include the page URL, the figure in question, and an official source via data corrections. Policy detail lives on corrections process and methodology.

The homepage Organization JSON-LD now uses https://plaintrial.com/#organization with logo and knowsAbout depth. Dataset creator/publisher reference that @id. Empty or self-referential sameAs remains omitted (portal commit c0856bc).

Methodology counts derived from the live snapshot
Removed an unevidenced “FDA guidance cross-check” claim. The upstream registry size is now stated with the date it was checked against the ClinicalTrials.gov API, and our indexed-trial count plus snapshot date are derived from the database instead of hardcoded prose (portal commit bbc78d7).

ClinicalTrials.gov source freshness declared for ETL
The ETL SOURCES stamp for the ClinicalTrials.gov export was declared so freshness checks fail closed when inputs are missing, instead of exiting green with an empty source list (portal commit a62f490).

ETL rebuild guard against unrepopulatable rows
Full rebuilds now refuse to destroy rows that cannot be repopulated from declared sources; deterministic stages were wired and the DB path made overridable (portal commits ad2dead, f16d65d, 5820e76).
How we process exports
What is not a changelog entry
Routine rendering, an ordinary ClinicalTrials.gov refresh with no publisher-side correction, or an unverified reader report is not treated as a correction entry. Pages continue to show their own source scope and data window; use those labels with this record when interpreting a number.
